Hospitality at Woburn - The Sculpture Gallery

Situated in the South Court of Woburn Abbey, the Sculpture Gallery was built in 1789 as an Orangery for the 5th Duke of Bedford. Enlarged in 1818 to house the Duke's collection of marble statues and reliefs, it was renamed the Sculpture Gallery. During the last two decades, some of the sculptures have beenremoved and the Gallery restored and converted to the beautiful building of the present day.

Sited almost under the magnificent spreading arms of a 350 year old Cedar tree, the Gallery overlooks the Private Gardens and lake of the Duke of Bedford, with splendid views of many rare and mature trees, some over 300 years old. In Spring, the view is awash with colour as more than 3000 daffodils come into bloom.

All catering for the Sculpture Gallery, the Lantern Room and the Long Harness Room is carried out by our own staff under the supervision of the Catering Manager. Our kitchens use only fresh produce selected from local markets. A full range of menus is available to you, including a Kosher menu. We take great pride in our culinary flair and imagination but we are also happy to provide menus designed to meet your own specific requirements
